I hope RGV strikes a deal with one of the big names like Sony pictures and releases it to lovers of cinema the worldwide.<br/><br/>Now, coming to the explanations part, I wanted to put in my words of support for Varma against some points raised by people.<br/><br/><ul><li>loud BGM: could be cuz there were some scenes in the movie which would have lessened the speed of the movie and these were, probably required. Varma&#39;s idea could have been to have this distracting music to maintain the tempo - must have been extra confident about his actors&#39; performances that people would not get disturbed anyways. Also, in an interview with rediff, he mentioned this loud BGM. I think it was deliberate on his part and not some mistake. Hence my explanation.</li></ul><br/><br/><ul><li>some one pointed out how antara mali&#39;s going to HK was redundant since malik and chandu&#39;s characters changed later. . but her death was what changed them in the first place .. so, her killing &#39;was&#39; required. one anamoly though is, how does she know there&#39;s a gun in the draw there :0 . we can support ourselves that she knows the place well .. but doesnt gell well, mayb showing her drawing a mini pistol out of her dress wud have made some sense ..??? dunno … ALso, that lighting a cigarette part seems to be a coincidence since there are umpteen killings without a cigarette being lighted … antra mali&#39;s for eg. we cant support this with devgan&#39;s smoking in the hospital since he is shown to be a chain smoker anyways .. so there…</li></ul><br/><br/><ul><li>I also can&#39;t seem to agree with comparisons with traffic. Traffic has a very raw feel to it and I think assumes an above average audience while company has a very stylish feel and can cater to all kinds of audiences .. a very difficult feat to achieve I guess..editing is far superior to traffic though …</li></ul><br/><br/>Finally, I think Company is a much more difficult movie to make compared to Satya. There was just too much happening and everything had to fall into place logically right from the word go. In Satya, enuf. time was given for character development and the script meanders into other aspects of their lives at times … Satya is a love story in the backdrop of underworld while company is a PROPER underworld movie …<br/><br/>I also have a couple of points about Khalid Mohammed&#39;s review in filmfare if anyone has read that. Besides some obvious biased stmnts ( gawd!, he says the editing was not upto mark :) ) he compares Manisha to Sharon stone of Casino .. which is starkly wrong. Firstly, sharon stone in that movie is shownan opporunistic bitch who even sleeps with de niro&#39;s friend for money …usual KM was probably too stunned with the movie to think cohesively … I think she is more on the lines of Melanie griffith in Scarface … but even there, the girl is in constant opposition with her male companion .. only comparison can be the eternally stoned out state of both the females. . This is a stunning film, awesome story, acting and music makes this one of the most enjoyable movies i have ever seen - hindi or english. The performances are excellent, with special mention to the new actors- Vivek Oberoi and Antara Mali, who played their parts with such expertise and conviction.<br/><br/>Highly recomended
